PRSC president and CEO receives Texas Traffic Safety honor

Efforts to improve road safety in the Permian Basin continue to garner recognition.

Michael Smith, president and CEO of the Permian Road Safety Coalition, was recently honored with the Texas Traffic Safety Excellence Award — Traffic Safety Professional.

The award, presented at the Texas Traffic Safety Conference in Addison, recognized Smith’s outstanding leadership and dedication to improving roadway safety across West Texas and southeast New Mexico.

Smith, a founding leader of PRSC, was recognized for helping unite energy companies, transportation providers, first responders, local governments and community stakeholders to address the region’s transportation safety challenges.
